Florida heat is hard on batteries. They fail without much warning, usually at the worst moment, and usually somewhere without a friendly neighbor holding cables. We bring proper equipment, not a sketchy set of clamps, and we connect it the right way so nothing in your electrical system takes a hit.
Once you are running, we will tell you honestly whether the battery is likely to hold or whether you are going to be stuck again tonight. If it will not hold, towing you to a shop beats gambling on it.
Signs it is your battery
- One slow crank, then only clicking
- Dashboard lights dim or flicker when you turn the key
- Nothing at all, no lights, no sound
- It started fine yesterday but sat a few days
- You left the headlights or an interior light on
What we do
- Check the terminals and connections first, since loose or corroded ones look exactly like a dead battery
- Jump the vehicle with the correct polarity and a proper supply
- Let it run and check whether the charging system is holding
- Tell you plainly if it needs a new battery or a tow to a shop
Common questions
What if the jump does not hold?
Then the battery or the alternator is finished, and we will say so. We can tow you to your shop rather than let you get stranded again a mile down the road.
Can you jump a hybrid or an EV?
Most hybrids and EVs have a normal 12 volt battery that does exactly this, and we can jump it. Tell us the model when you call so the driver arrives ready.
Do you sell batteries?
We focus on getting you running and getting you to a shop. If you need a replacement we will point you to somewhere nearby that is open.
