Car lockout service

Keys on the seat and the doors locked. We open it without hurting the door, the glass, or the paint.

Lockout: Milvara Towing

Lockouts happen to careful people, usually while loading groceries or at a gas pump with the engine running. We use proper lockout tools designed for modern vehicles, which is the difference between a door that opens and a door with a bent frame and a torn weather seal.

If a child or a pet is locked inside, say that first when you call. That call goes to the front of the line, and if the situation is urgent you should also call 911 while we are on the way.

Common lockouts we handle

  • Keys visible on the seat or in the ignition
  • Keys locked in the trunk
  • The car locked itself while running
  • A key fob battery died and the door will not respond
  • A child or pet locked inside, which we treat as an emergency

What we do

  • Confirm you are the owner or authorized driver of the vehicle
  • Choose the entry method that suits your make and model
  • Open the vehicle without damaging the seals, glass or paint
  • Make sure it starts before we leave, since a lockout sometimes hides a dead battery

Common questions

Will this damage my car?

No. Proper lockout tools are made for this and a trained operator leaves no trace. Coat hangers and wedges from a video are what damage doors.

Do you make replacement keys?

No, that is a locksmith or dealer job. We get you back into the vehicle, and if the key is truly gone we can tow you to where a new one can be cut and programmed.

What proof do you need?

Something that ties you to the car, like a license matching the registration or the insurance card. It protects your vehicle from someone claiming it is theirs.
