Flat tire change

We swap your flat for your spare where you sit, on the shoulder, in a lot, or in your driveway.

Tire Support: Milvara Towing

Changing a tire on the side of a road is one of the more dangerous things a driver can do, especially on I-75 or a dark stretch of SR-82. We do it with the truck positioned to shield you, proper lighting, and a jack rated for your vehicle instead of the emergency one folded under your trunk mat.

If you do not have a usable spare, or the wheel is damaged and not just flat, we tow you to a tire shop. Driving on a shredded tire ruins the wheel and often more than the wheel.

When to call instead of doing it yourself

  • You are on a highway shoulder or a blind curve
  • It is dark, raining, or you have kids in the car
  • The spare is missing, flat, or you cannot find the tools
  • The lug nuts are seized or the wheel lock key is gone
  • Two tires are down, or the wheel itself is damaged

What we do

  • Position the truck to protect the work area
  • Check your spare's condition and pressure before mounting it
  • Torque the lugs properly, not just snug
  • Stow the flat and remind you of the spare's speed limit
  • Tow you to a tire shop if there is no safe spare to mount

Common questions

How far can I drive on the donut spare?

Treat it as temporary. Stay under 50 mph and get to a tire shop soon, since a compact spare is not built for distance or for Florida heat on the interstate.

Can you patch or plug the tire?

Roadside, our job is to get you rolling safely on the spare or onto the truck. A permanent repair belongs at a tire shop where the tire can come off the rim and be inspected inside.

What if I have no spare at all?

Very common on newer cars. We tow you to a tire shop, which is faster and cheaper than any of the alternatives.
